Get the Right Video Conferencing Bar for Your Workspace
Posted by Tom Brown on 29/10/2025

A video conferencing bar – often just called a video bar - is an all-in-one solution that combines a camera, microphones and speakers into a single, sleek device. Instead of juggling multiple pieces of kit, one bar handles everything, giving you crystal-clear video and audio for every meeting.
At AV Xpert, we specialise in delivering professional audio-visual solutions for businesses across the UK. That includes designing and installing the latest video conferencing bars to create seamless communication experiences in meeting rooms of all shapes and sizes.
In this article, we’ll take a closer look at some of the video conferencing bars we regularly install for our clients. Having worked with these systems in a wide range of real-world environments, we understand how they work and know what performs best. To help you decide what’s right for your business, we’ll start with the premium models and then look at options better suited to more budget-conscious projects.
Logitech Rally Bar Range
The Logitech Rally Bar range offers several models tailored to different room sizes - from the compact Rally Bar Huddle to the full-sized Rally Bar for larger spaces.
Each Rally Bar can work as a standalone video bar (just connect via USB to your laptop or room PC) or form part of a fully integrated Microsoft Teams Room or Zoom Room setup. They’re compatible with all major conferencing platforms and can even operate as a self-contained room system, complete with its own email identity for easy scheduling.
When paired with the Logitech TAP controller, you can join meetings with a single touch. A software license for either Microsoft Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms is required, but once set up, it provides a smooth, professional experience every time.
They are also fully compatible with Barco Clickshare Conference devices, for wireless BYOD connectivity, allowing you to connect to the camera, mic, speakers and display without the need for any cables trailing across the room.
Logitech’s Rally Bar range includes these different size options:
Logitech Rally Bar Huddle
Ideal for small rooms of up to six people (perfect for four), the Rally Bar Huddle is compact yet powerful. It doesn’t support expansion microphones, but for smaller spaces, its wide-angle camera and clear audio make it a brilliant choice.
Logitech Rally Bar Mini
A great fit for small to medium rooms of up to twelve participants. The Rally Bar Mini allows you to extend audio pickup with up to three Rally Mic Pods, making it flexible for slightly larger spaces. It also has larger optics, for enhanced video quality.
Logitech Rally Bar
Designed for medium to large rooms of up to twenty people, the full-size Rally Bar supports up to four Rally Mic Pods, to expand the microphone coverage. While the speaker coverage can’t be extended, it’s an excellent choice for most meeting spaces. For very long or acoustically challenging rooms, we may recommend a bespoke AV system instead.
Microsoft Teams Rooms with the Logitech Rally Bar
For companies that use Microsoft Teams, pairing the Rally Bar with the TAP touchscreen controller allows you to run the Teams Rooms platform directly from the device, transforming your meeting space into a fully integrated Teams environment.
With a Microsoft Teams Rooms setup, users can walk into the room and quickly join the scheduled Teams meeting with a single touch on the TAP touchscreen controller, which can be wall mounted, or located on the meeting room table.
During the meeting, you can use the TAP controller to quickly and easily invite additional participants, adjust volumes, mute/unmute microphones, switch camera views and share content to the meeting via HDMI (or wireless dongle, if coupled with Barco Clickshare).
Barco Clickshare Bar Pro
The Barco Clickshare Bar Pro is another excellent video bar, ideal for huddle spaces and smaller meeting rooms of up to ten participants. It includes all the essentials; auto-framing camera, beamforming microphones, and high-quality speakers, but also integrates Barco’s wireless BYOD functionality right into the unit.
Each system comes with two USB-C Clickshare dongles so you can instantly connect your laptop to share content and access the room’s camera, mic and speakers, all without plugging in cables.
The Clickshare Bar Pro is a pure BYOD solution, meaning you run your video calls directly from your laptop using any platform: Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, and more.
While it doesn’t support expansion microphones and relies on digital zoom (rather than optical), it still delivers excellent audio and video performance for small rooms, all with the simplicity and reliability that Barco products are known for.
MAXHUB UC S07
If you’re looking for a budget-friendly video bar, the MAXHUB UC S07 is a strong contender. Designed for small spaces of two to eight people, it’s a wired BYOD system that connects directly to your laptop.
Video quality is a step down from Logitech and Barco models, but the audio is still impressively clear. For teams who need reliable performance without the higher cost, MAXHUB offers great value for money.
Biamp Parlé
The Biamp Parlé is another smart choice for small to medium rooms. It doesn’t support additional microphones, but its audio quality is outstanding - ideal for teams who prioritise clear, natural sound. Video quality is a noticeable upgrade from the MAXHUB, though not quite on par with Logitech or Barco systems.
For organisations where audio clarity matters most, Biamp Parlé is well worth considering.
Choosing the Right Solution
As you can see, there’s no one-size-fits-all solution. The best video conferencing bar for your business depends on the size and layout of your meeting room, your budget and how you prefer to connect and run meetings (wired, wireless, or fully integrated Teams/Zoom room).
At AV Xpert, we help businesses navigate these choices every day. We supply, install, and support all the systems mentioned above and can demonstrate them from our demo stock.
For larger rooms where a video bar isn’t quite enough, we design and install custom AV systems, tailored from the ground up to meet your communication and collaboration needs.
