FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
The questions our customers ask us most, answered. If yours is not here, our team will be happy to help.
Booking and payment
How do I book?
Accept your quote using the link in our email. Once accepted, the equipment is reserved for your dates and we send you an invoice.
Do you need a deposit?
Yes. A 30% deposit is due when you book, and the balance is due before your hire or event date.
How can I pay?
You can pay by bank transfer or card. Your invoice includes our bank details.
What happens if I need to cancel or change my booking?
Get in touch as early as you can and we will amend your quote where possible. Once a quote has been accepted, the 30% deposit is chargeable under our terms and conditions.
Can my quote be extended?
Yes. If your quote is about to expire, let us know and we can extend it so you can still accept it.
Delivery and set-up
Can you deliver and collect the equipment?
Yes. Delivery and collection are priced by distance, so we will ask for the address when we prepare your quote.
Can you set up and pack down for me?
Yes. We offer a set-up and pack-down service for an additional charge, which we can add to your quote.
Can you provide a technician on the day?
Yes. Our technicians can run the equipment throughout your event, from controlling sound levels to playing music cues and running timings, for example at a wedding ceremony.
Are there items you only hire with a technician?
Yes. Some items, such as our large display screens and video camera, are only hired with our technicians, because of their fragility, their size or the experience needed to operate them.
Equipment and power
Are cables included?
Yes. Every hire includes the cables needed to connect the equipment we supply. If you are plugging in your own DJ equipment or devices, let us know what they are so we include the right connections.
Do I need a power supply?
Most equipment needs a standard power socket nearby. For outdoor events without mains power we can supply a generator and power distribution, and some of our speakers and microphones are battery powered, lasting around eight hours.
Is your equipment PAT tested?
Yes. All of our equipment is PAT tested regularly and checked before every hire, and we work in line with industry health and safety standards.
Insurance and documents
Is the equipment insured during my hire?
Insurance is not included in the hire cost. Hired equipment is your responsibility for the full hire period, including any time it is left at a venue, so please check that your own event or venue insurance covers it.
Do you have public liability insurance?
Yes. We hold public liability insurance to £5 million and can send you a copy of our certificate, along with risk assessments and method statements for your venue.
Live streaming and hybrid meetings
Do you provide the computer for a Zoom or Teams meeting?
We can. Our hybrid meeting set-ups can include a mini PC with a wireless keyboard and mouse, so you do not need to bring your own laptop.
Who runs the cameras for a live stream?
Our technicians do. Typically one camera is fixed, while a roving camera and the production station are operated by our team.
Installations and support
Do installations come with a warranty?
Yes. Our installations include a 1-year callout warranty with telephone support, and you can extend your cover with a Support and Maintenance Agreement.
Do you offer site visits?
Yes. For installations and larger events we visit your site to understand the space before we finalise your quote.
