Every piece of event technology needs a reliable supply, and getting power to the right places safely is one of the first things we look at when planning an event. AV Xpert provides temporary power distribution, cabling and generator coordination for indoor and outdoor events, run by the same crew who install your audio, lighting and video.
We work out what your production needs, check what the venue can provide and plan the distribution from there, so there are no surprises on the day. All equipment comes from our own warehouse in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.

Temporary Power Distribution
Power where it’s needed
Our 3-phase and single-phase distribution units take a supply from the venue or a generator and split it safely across your event. We provide 16A and 32A distribution with RCD protection, alongside 13A outlets for smaller equipment, so sound, lighting, screens and catering points each get the supply they need.
Cabling and Cable Management
Tidy, safe cable runs
We plan cable routes to keep walkways clear and the finish tidy. Where cables have to cross a path or a road, we use cable ramps to protect both the cable and the people walking over it. Our crew lays out and tests every run before the event starts, and takes it all away afterwards.
Generators and Venue Supplies
Working with your venue or generator supplier
At venues with a suitable supply, we work with the venue team to connect safely to their power. For outdoor sites without mains power, we can supply silent diesel generators, or work alongside your chosen generator supplier so the generator, distribution and production are planned together.

Can you provide power for an outdoor event with no mains supply?
Yes. We can supply generators, or work with your generator supplier, and provide the distribution and cabling to get power across the site.
Do you work with the venue’s own power supply?
Yes. Where a venue has a suitable supply, we liaise with the venue team and connect our distribution to it safely.
What power distribution do you offer?
We offer 3-phase and single-phase distribution units with 16A and 32A outputs, RCD protection and 13A outlets for smaller equipment.
How do you keep cables safe around guests?
We plan cable routes away from walkways where possible and use cable ramps wherever cables cross paths or access routes.
Can you provide event power without other AV equipment?
Please get in touch with your requirements. Event power is usually planned alongside the sound, lighting and video we supply, but we are happy to discuss what you need.
