Commercial AV Installation in Cambridge

Designed, installed and supported by our own team

AV Xpert designs and installs audio visual systems for businesses, colleges, schools, laboratories and venues across Cambridge. From a single huddle room display to a large corporate office full of video conferencing rooms, we make the technology simple for the people who use it every day.

Our team is based in Huntingdon, around 30 minutes from the city, so we can survey your space, install with minimal disruption and be on hand for support long after the job is finished.

We work with research companies, technology businesses, charities, colleges and schools across the city and its science and business parks.

AV Installation FAQs

Do you install AV across Cambridge and the surrounding areas?

Yes. We work across the city and the surrounding areas, including Cambourne, Girton, Fulbourn and the business and science parks, as well as further afield including Ely, Cottenham, Waterbeach, Sawston, Bottisham, Whittlesford, Royston, Saffron Walden and Newmarket.

Can you survey our Cambridge building before quoting?

Yes. We offer free, no-obligation consultations and site surveys, so the design and quote are based on your actual rooms and how you use them.

Which meeting platforms do you work with?

We design rooms around the platform you already use, whether that is Microsoft Teams, Zoom or Google Meet, so meetings start with one touch and everyone can be seen and heard. We also install bring your own device (BYOD) meeting rooms, that are driven from your laptop, allowing you to run the video conferencing software you already have installed and are familiar with.

Can you work around our opening hours?

Yes. We plan installations around your busiest times, including evenings and weekends by arrangement, to keep disruption to a minimum.

Can you reuse or upgrade our existing equipment?

Often, yes. We will look at what you already have and tell you honestly what is worth keeping, what can be upgraded and what should be replaced.

Will you show our staff how to use the system?

Yes. When the installation is finished we walk your team through the system, so everyone is confident using it from the first meeting.

Do you support systems after installation?

Yes. Every system comes with a free 1-year on-site callout warranty. After that, a support and maintenance agreement keeps you covered, with remote help, on-site callouts and regular servicing, so problems are fixed quickly and rooms stay in use.

Can you install AV in listed and historic buildings?

Yes. We regularly work in colleges, churches and other historic buildings. We plan cable routes, fixings and equipment positions carefully to protect the fabric of the building and keep the technology discreet.
