AV Xpert Provide PA Coverage for RREC Annual Rally 2026

AV Xpert were delighted to work with the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts’ Club (RREC), providing a comprehensive temporary public address (PA) system for their Annual Rally 2026, supplied entirely from our own rental stock. Held over three days at the stunning Kelmarsh Hall in Northamptonshire, the event brought together members from across the UK and beyond to meet up and celebrate their shared passion.
Working closely with the event organisers, we provided a tailored audio solution, delivering clear announcements, commentary and background music that helped keep attendees engaged throughout the event.
Overview:
The Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts’ Club (RREC) is the international club for Rolls-Royce and Bentley enthusiasts. Each year, the club hosts its Annual Rally, providing members with the opportunity to showcase their vehicles and meet fellow members. The 2026 rally took place over three days at the historic country estate of Kelmarsh Hall.
The main exhibition area covered a large outdoor space, requiring a powerful, distributed PA system capable of delivering audio over long distances. In addition, a variety of activity areas were spread across the event field, each with its own announcements and audio requirements. This called for a multi-zone audio solution that could provide dedicated coverage throughout the event space.
At AV Xpert, we designed and installed a complete temporary PA solution, tailored to the exact requirements of the event organisers and supplied from our own rental stock, delivering consistent, high-quality audio across the entire site.
The Solution:
To provide site-wide audio coverage across the expansive event field at Kelmarsh Hall, we installed four 8-metre truss towers, strategically positioned around the site to deliver consistent audio coverage across the main vehicle showcase area, members' catering and seating areas, and general parking area. Each tower was equipped with six Biamp two-way long-throw horn speakers, selected for their ability to project clear, intelligible audio over long distances. The speakers were carefully angled to maximise coverage across the site, so that sound carried evenly to every area. Mounted at a height of 8 metres, the horns projected sound across the grounds while keeping volumes comfortable for anyone standing nearby.
To meet the differing requirements of each area, the system was configured as a multi-zone solution, allowing announcements, commentary and background music to be distributed independently with tailored content and volume levels for each zone. This ensured every part of the event received the right audio at the appropriate volume level.
To distribute audio reliably across such a large site, the system ran on a Dante audio network, carrying the signal digitally over approximately 600 metres of fibre optic cabling. This allowed high-quality audio to be sent to every tower and zone across the site from a central control position, with no loss of quality over distance.
We also deployed our long-range wireless microphone system, which delivered reliable radio microphone coverage across the entire 600 by 300 metre site. This gave organisers and presenters the freedom to speak from anywhere on the grounds, whether making announcements or presenting awards, without being tied to a fixed location.
For the Parade Ring, where vehicle presentations took place, with stunning show cars receiving their prizes, we provided a separate system using compact line-array speakers to ensure commentary could be heard clearly by spectators of the parade and presentation of awards.
For the seminar marquee, we supplied a compact, self-contained sound system with a wireless microphone, together with a display for presentations and a lectern. This gave speakers a simple, professional setup for delivering talks and presentations to a seated audience, independent of the main outdoor system.
Throughout the three-day event, our experienced technicians remained on site to manage the audio system and provide technical support where required. All of the equipment, from the truss towers and speakers to the microphone and network systems, was supplied from our own rental stock and both installed and removed by our team, providing a complete temporary PA solution for the event.
The Results:
Over the course of the weekend, our temporary multi-zone PA system delivered clear, reliable audio coverage across the entire event field at Kelmarsh Hall, ensuring visitors could hear important announcements, commentary and background music wherever they were on site. This helped to create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere across the event space.
With independent control of each audio zone, we delivered bespoke audio in every area, from the main exhibition space to the members’ catering and seating areas and the Parade Ring.
The success of the project demonstrated AV Xpert’s ability to design and deliver professional audio solutions for large-scale events, and in particular to provide clear, highly audible PA coverage across expansive outdoor spaces, whether for an event such as this, a country fayre or another large outdoor occasion. We were delighted to support the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts’ Club Annual Rally 2026 and help contribute to the success of the event.
