Celebrating 10 Years of AV Xpert: Giving Back to the Community

March 2024, marked an important milestone for AV Xpert - our 10th anniversary of delivering high-quality audio-visual services across the UK. To celebrate, we’re giving back to the community that has supported us over the years by offering our AV services free of charge for 10 charitable or community causes in the local area.

Now that we’re just over halfway through our anniversary year, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the projects we’ve completed so far, as well as look forward to the future.

Community Engagement Projects

At AV Xpert, we believe in the power of community and the difference we can make when we come together. From festivals to charity fundraisers, we’ve had the privilege of supporting a variety of meaningful events. Here’s a look at some of the incredible projects we’ve been honoured to be part of in our 10th anniversary year so far.

Huntingdon Riverside Gala 2024

The Huntingdon Riverside Gala was a lively community event, offering a variety of attractions for families to enjoy. AV Xpert played a pivotal role in setting the stage for the live music performance, providing a complete audio-visual setup for the 5-piece band. This included a professional stage system with truss structure covering, vibrant creative lighting, and a robust sound system with subwoofers. To ensure impeccable sound quality for the performers, we supplied a range of microphones, including dynamic vocal, instrument, condenser, and kick drum microphones. It was a joy to support such a memorable day.

RCMH Fundraising Ball

In September, the Rural Communities Mental Health Foundation hosted their inaugural fundraising ball to launch their new charity. The event was held at Redwood Cottage in Huntingdon and aimed to raise awareness and funds for mental health initiatives.

We were proud to support this meaningful occasion by providing essential audio-visual equipment, including projector and screen for displaying video content, along with two 75” Hisense 4K digital signage displays that added a professional and engaging visual element to the event.

Watersprite Film Festival 2024

The Watersprite Film Festival, the world’s largest student film festival, was a spectacular showcase of young talent. Organised by students from the University of Cambridge and Anglia Ruskin University, the festival aims to break down barriers and provide opportunities for filmmakers from all walks of life.

Our lighting setup, designed to complement the festival’s vibrant atmosphere, illuminated the venue and added to the magical atmosphere of the event. Supporting such a dynamic platform for young filmmakers was truly rewarding.

Westfield Junior School, Euro 2024 Charity Event

When Westfield Junior School found themselves in urgent need of a projector to showcase Euro 2024 matches for their charity fundraiser, we stepped in to help.

The school had planned to sell tickets for the event to raise money for charity, however the lack of a projector threw the event into doubt. We were happy to step in and provide an Epson short-throw projector, ensuring the event could proceed as planned.

Attendees enjoyed the excitement of the football, and the school successfully raised money for charity. Supporting the school with their fundraiser was a fulfilling and rewarding experience.

Sound of Tomorrow Conference 2024

Held at Anglia Ruskin University, the Sound of Tomorrow Conference explored the transformative effects of AI and social media on the music industry. Put together by third-year music and music tech students, the event featured thought-provoking keynotes, panel discussions, and workshops. AV Xpert was proud to support this event by providing a range of uplighters that added vibrant, dynamic lighting to complement the branding and theme of the conference.
